It even makes sense with the arc phrase of When does a story begin? The meaning of something, of anything is only determined when it is interpreted. But given the imperfections of expression and of signifiers, that meaning is in flux until observed and understood. You can run though a bunch of different meanings, of different story threads and ideas until you lock on to the one you want to go with. You collapse the wave function and that gets your story. This owns so much.

Since she can accept a world where someone can put a cellphone in her hand and she can use it as both a regular hand and a cellphone, she becomes intrinsically aware of the superposition of those two states. This expands to being aware of multiple hers when she calls herself; her trick is recognizing the superposition of every possible her at that point in time, then picking the one that gets her what she wants the fastest. If you've ever seen a replay of Super Meat Boy, she runs the level replay first and then goes back and picks which Meat Boy finishes the level best.

She exists outside of space and time as we understand it, and nobody can perceive anything more than a single facet of the Gaku collective. The only thing keeping the comparison from being complete is how limited her power within any particular universe is. The rabbit hole just doesn't stop getting deeper. ...I take it you haven't been spoiled on the most recent MadoMagi movie.
