There is value in learning to not panic tap to things and developing enough to grit to spit blood every now and then. But. Sweet. Jesus. How. Do. You. gently caress. That. Up!? Coach got into him for being an idiot not me for continuing to apply it. I've gone out trying to fight out of a guillotine though but in my defense I was rolling with my instructor (black belt) who I am pretty sure wasn't going to kill me and I wanted to test how far I could go in a choke fighting the hands before I fell asleep in his crotch. spoiler: not long. But for anything joint or tendon or bone or anything else related -you're a retard if you don't tap when they've got you you don't "lose" in training the whole BJJ mantra has always been you win or you learn. Also on Mark Hunt, he's been in Thailand for a lot longer than normal. I'm almost sure for the Stipe fight he didn't do anything except hit pads for a couple hours a week 2 or 3 weeks before the fight and for the fight in Mexico he had a really short run up to the title shot. In the past I wouldn't be surprised if his trips to Thailand have been less "training camp" and more "hit pads in between naps", he looks a lot leaner than he has in years and from videos he's posted he looks a lot, lot faster and lighter on his feet. I can only really remember one other time he's looked like this in the UFC in the lead up to a fight and that was when he tore his knee and had to sit out and promptly got huge again.

Additionally; I'm an injury-prone, 8 year white belt. I know enough poo poo to catch people in really obvious submissions, but I lack the regular training necessary to know when I have someone dead to rights so I rely on them tapping. The problems begin when you get some guy who doesn't want to tap to the unfit white belt, and he gets a shoulder tweaked. BJJ definitely suppresses ego, but it still exists.

I think it would be really funny poetic justice if angela magana got out of the hospital and the UFC cut her god she doesnt even hav ea wikipedia lol she has lost 4 fights since 2012 ... it would be the best if the 3rd time now she has broken her back they were just like "you know, you're kinda dumb, later dummy". She is like a weird version of the rousimar palhares of womens MMA and is going to end up getting permanently crippling herself.

At my previous company we had some custom software that needed calibration files to run. Each file could store several calibrations that were tagged with a "name" that was just a text string containing a date and the calibration range, and then a timestamp stored in a binary time format. The calibration would be performed on a computer running Canadian regional settings and then the calibration file would be sent to an American computer to actually run the software. This actually led to a situation where I was able to produce a screenshot that showed 8/6/2013 and 6/8/2013 on the same software dialog, which our programmer explained was totally normal. e: in summary use ISO format errday
