And here's some cool looking buildings and building like things to start with!

Hey everybody, I follow this awesome thread all the time but I've been really lax about actually drawing stuff, so I figured this month I'd get in on the ground floor and keep myself accountable! Here's some non building-ey stuff.

I feel pretty much the same way, which is how I know I have to practice drawing buildings!

You know that thing where you sleep on your arm funny and when you wake up it's all numb? Yeah that's my whole world right now.

Not a building but this is the first thing I've drawn with the new tablet. I really, really love the newer S Pen stylus, thing is smooth as butter. I'm strongly considering making a comic when I have some free time.

Inspired by the thread, I drew the view from my window. Spent the whole time cursing myself for not being as good at drawing from life as I used to be then reminding myself that I never practice so I shouldn't be surprised.

Been doing 2-3 portraits a week for 10 weeks and these are the ones I feel good enough about to share (all done from photo reference):

This one kicked it off and the other two are from various points and more recent:

Relearning Illustrator. Forgot how tedious it can get, but I'm super pleased with how this turned out. Gonna Be printing Rat Pope on some shirts.

An on-topic WIP for a wee flyer I'm drawing for a local business. Colours / shadows / some other details are just quick and temporary.

Posting because it looks like I'm abandoning ship on this. The client prefers my rough (which looks like poo poo but has a nice energy to it) and I'm gonna try to find a nice middle-ground between the two.

Everyone's got a few pieces of the anatomy that, for whatever reason, they always draw as too long/too short. My bane is the side of the head; I always lengthen the fucker out and end up with bizarre looking jawlines that I gradually have to scrub back down to size. I just always make sure to go through a drawing multiple times and fix everything up, drawing lightly at the start. v:shobon:v

Art status: I can sort of draw human faces to look consistently okay now? I still have to do a lot of mucking around with each drawing to get it from the initial mask to a completed product, but it's getting easier as time goes on. Still have no idea how human hair works.
