As a side note, while no-kill shelters may decide to take an aggressive dog, they will most likely never take a dog with a bite history.

She doesn't claim it ever bit anyone. She just says it "turned to bite" her when she went to pull the chicken out of its mouth. She later says that this incident is what finally convinced her that the dog was a danger to "anyone she came in contact with," but never says it had actually ever bit a human.
According to Noem, the only thing Cricket ever attacked were the chickens.

Technically, the Chihuahua is the most aggressive dog breed.
Nobody cares because they can't do as much damage as a larger dog, though.
Much like French Bulldogs, they are adorable genetic monsters made by man who would never survive in the wild because they are 9-pound dogs who have overdeveloped food defense aggression and want to aggressively defend their territory from dogs 10x their size.

Well the funny thing is that Lovecraft wrote that stuff because he personally felt utterly overwhelmed by the world he found himself in, being filled with an enormous number of bad societal ideas and personal mental health problems, and he channels that into describing an inevitable collapse of the world as he saw modernity as being destined to destroy everything he felt comfortable with (the aforementioned terrible social ideas and imagined world of the past)
So actual Lovecraft I think had a quite different view which is not that he was a very special boy who was one of the brave few who could peep the horror without going insane, but that he was a relic of a bygone era, an early casualty of the coming age of progress that would eventually swallow the whole world in moral turpitude and unchecked scientific discovery. A fate that awaited not only humanity but every civilization. It's a lot more nihilistic.
Kind of the opposite view I think from the UFO weirdos, who I think generally skew more towards believing themselves to be the biggest brain on the block. And also generally seem to think that aliens are the key to unlocking some sort of greater spiritual purpose which Lovecraft I don't think believed at all.

The idea that the FBI/DOJ should be an independent entity of government is quite frankly scary.
An entity that can take all your assets, throw you in jail, and even, perhaps, seek out capital punishment... should... never... be... independent.
There should be a clear chain of command, answerable to the public. Luckily the Constitution provides that in the Executive Branch headed by the President.
There are only 3 branches of government and nowhere does an independent DOJ exist.
