Also it's a remake of a video walkthrough of a Famicom game that was itself made into two FMV games, packaged into another game at half the length of the original. Maybe not much care was put into it.

Not really. There was literally nothing of what little plot there is in PTES in the special and there's not a lot to joke about. Tuffle is pissed about Saiyans wrecking Planet Plant, makes some gas that materializes as past villains, then his computer becomes a lame robot. It's basically Baby with some cameos. It's only notable for being the first DB game with an original plot and for being the "lost movie" that never came west until they remade it for Raging Blast 2. Listen, it's a Jump game, a crossover one at that. It had about a 90% chance of being crap from the outset, so I don't know why you people are acting all surprised about it. People aren't gonna be buying this for the deep systems, they're gonna buy it so Naruto can punch Doflamingo in Times Square.

And yes, Broly is now bros with Goku and I like that. I can't wait to see what they do with him. The animation was superb, the fighting was just a spectale, even the 3D parts weren't that bad looking (way better than RoF). Overall solid film. Also we got to see Raditz, guess Toriyama didn't forget. The best part about the ending was that if Super gets a continuation, this is likely going to be adapted as the first arc, and that makes me incredibly giddy about the future.
