Shooting a cops dog legally counts as shooting a cop, so does tripping the copbot 9000 count as felonious attempted destruction of protected security assets? Had to have posted this in some fuckin thread If the cop bot flips the gently caress out and throws a perp off the roof that of course is a programming error, could have been a cosmic ray

I remember a very long time ago I watched America's most wanted or something similar and there was a feature on a remote controlled swat bot they'd send into situations they didn't want to get shot in. the segment showed it rolling into a domestic situation where the guy was drunkenly chasing his wife around the house with a shotgun. they showed it from the bot's perspective with the grainy night vision camera and it turns a corner straight into the dude. the cop controlling it made the usual demands via speaker and the guy, clearly sloshed, looks at the camera for a few seconds before saying "I'll have a number three large fries and a coke" whereupon the bot tazes him. I remember thinking at the time "well the guy may be a wife beating piece of poo poo but drat if his comedic timing wasn't dead on that night"

To guarantee 24/7 patrol capability, copbot will be tethered to a miniature nuclear reactor carried on a chariot towed by a legion of robodogs. For the low low price of 400 million a unit

fortunately, functional robot cops are completely fictional. they'll still be purchased as though they were not a ruinously expensive useless boondoggle, though. assassination drones are unfortunately not fictional at all.

Pepe Silvia Browne posted:a McDonald's manager and/or owner You would think right? But the truth is that all major companies basically have successfully trained up an army of little weirdo nerd freaks who would gladly take a bullet in defending them. It's truly baffling. If you've never heard of it, I do the Microsoft Rewards program. It's a bunch of little games, quizzes and puzzles where you get points and can then redeem them for gift cards. So almost real money! If that sounds great to you, hold up for a second, cuz it takes 6500 points to get a 5 dollar gift card. And you might get 300 points a day. You used to get almost 500 and almost always over 400 a day. Then they nerfed the puzzle points into the dirt such that it's probably not worth the effort to start now; I'm only doing it out of habit at this point. You also get points for searching... Bing. 150 for using your desktop and 100 for mobile searches.... 5 points a search. You could knock the whole thing out (including all the little quizzes and poo poo) in about 5, maybe 10 minutes. Now they throttle your searches so you can only do (at most) 4 every fifteen minutes. It's proven understandably very unpopular but every comment on the subreddit complaining about it gets absolutely brigaded and downvoted by the absolute weirdest, most deferential little creeps. They seem fundamentally unable to understand that microsoft is selling all this data off and probably for substantially more than 5 bucks a month. Even with the spammed searches, it's probably worth a pretty penny. And even if they were going into the red on it, it's loving microsoft, they can afford it, gently caress them.
