That aside, I like how the author used this chapter to highlight differences between races that aren't immediately obvious. Like: halflings have almost zero mana so they're useless as wizards; dwarfs are super strong but super low in stamina so they have to be careful not to over-exert; kobolds have heightened senses but those can overwhelm them and send them into a frenzy; elves are fabulous and have high mana but they're useless when it comes to carrying things or close-in fights. And humans... Are humans I guess.

Oh so their teleportation follows Nightcrawler rules; momentum based, and can teleport basically anywhere, but to go somewhere that's not in visual range is dangerous because you don't know what's at the end point. (Also it's not really a teleportation as much as a "swap places with something at the destination point" and that something can be anything, including air.)

I'm wondering what the deal with Laius and Farlyn's parents is. They seem to not be on speaking terms with them, previous chapters implied that Laius and Farlyn have run away from home, and then there's the whole thing "You look like dad when you're like this" -> instant grooming in this chapter.
