It's a naked bike so it kind of does everything. But there's nothing off-roady about the MT series, and since I'm too chickenshit to try any singletrack here's a nice wide mostly-smooth dirt road.

I've taken a couple liberties with this one because I don't like riding with other people and this isn't so much my favorite road as the road that leads to my favorite daily loop. It's pretty uneventful as far as roads go, but it seems other people have a similar idea about this because on the weekends I'll see all kinds of bikes and occasionally even supercars scooting down this road. There are a few Lamborghinis, a Ferrari, a Bently Continental GT, a couple C8s, and at least one McLaren that like where this goes. I've met up with some buddies at this place, but I've seen tons of other groups get together here, so it stands as a decent spot for a meetup in the middle of some decent roads.

This is a sequoia sempervirens or a coastal redwood. It's just a tree on the side of the road, but I think all trees are cool, redwoods especially :hehe:

There's an old growth redwood forest about 10 miles south, but I think the road is still closed from the fire last year.

Dang, that's a nice tree. I was really hoping when the challenge was a tree that someone would post a redwood. The best I have are like, oak trees. Sometimes they're different colors.

Toe Rag
Aug 29, 2005

There are definitely more impressive trees in the area. I was actually just out riding, saw that tree at my intersection and thought "perfect!"

The first tree I thought of actually is an oak tree. I couldn't think of a way to get my bike over there without possibly getting the cops called on me. I'm not sure if Google Maps does it justice, because every time I drive by I can't help but think "that's one loving nice tree right there."

I love how this thread will be dead for a month and then we get multiple challenges done in a day. After getting a shot for the mountainous terrain I stopped for a snack and saw that I missed it, but fortunately dense vegetation is easy around here.

I thought about putting the bike in the vegetation, but, you know, hellworld fire season. So you get it next to some vegetation.
