Lol. Ok just noticed that there is a new PDM60 called the Amp link and it has more triggers. I think that's the jam for a couple of fans and fuel pump. edit: gently caress IT, im getting a Motec PDM. I'm pretty good at programming it, might as well use it and get real weird with features. Aeka 2.0 fucked around with this message at 00:41 on Nov 25, 2019 |

As with any project when you don't know what you're getting into you make sure you rear end will hurt later: I had to re do my fan shroud on the fact that I hosed up the first one, so I had to turn to an expert and best friend to make poo poo happen after I did the cutting and bending. His home garage is set up for any project. https://i.imgur.com/xi911Zt.mp4 And still the king of pulse MIG welding. From what I'm told, Miller bought the Panasonic welding division and buried it. All ready to go. I used race space super nascar 3m metal tape to fill the open spaces if you're wondering. Checking V-Mount fitment. I still need to modify the brackets and move everything up a little bit so I don't bottom out on the setup. Motec PDM 15 ordered and I've been working out what needs to go through it. Cut down the radiator v mount support by an inch so it doesn't hang so low. Checking fitment again and again. This time with condenser. [timg]https://i.imgur.com/W1vaHSs.jpg[/url][/timg] Data logger Aeka 2.0 fucked around with this message at 03:44 on Nov 28, 2019 |

Since the holidays are in full swing not much has gotten done. I only have a serial to CAN cable that came in the mail so I can pass the data from my AEM EMS V1 to the Motec PDM. And my cool rear end wife got me an early tool box Xmas gift seeing that it won't fit under the tree: And because everyone likes tool porn https://i.imgur.com/brZnAjS.mp4 Bonus nerd find of old in the garage: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgUak2EWCcM

I received a narrower Husky box from that same lineup from "my kid" for father's day. It's surprisingly nice and arguably a better deal than the HF.

This thing costs less than the craftsman I already have and it feels better, but it could be that I need to re lube the bearings on the Craftsman. I'm not used to deep drawers so this is a treat.

Oh snap I just got the 61” Husky version with soft close drawers a couple weeks ago. They’re super nice. I liked the old man part where you couldn’t figure out how to flip the video.

Of my three toolchests, my Craftsman is by far the worst. I also have a no-name stainless chest from Costco where the ony real problem with it is the fact that the drawers don't pull all the way out / the drawer fronts are not purely vertical, so there's space on both ends of the drawer where it's basically shrouded. If/when I move to a place with a larger garage, I'll probably replace the Craftsman with a bigger Husky set.

Just wanted to pipe in another thumbs up for my Husky chest. It's the wood top with the attached pegboard and I like it a lot. 66" I think. Turbo dorito content is also very cool.

I hope to have some proper content soon. Been working on the work space instead. But if you guys have the same problem I do, you may like what I found. I hate the fact that when I open my garage door my lighting gets covered by it. There is a kit to remedy the problem: https://i.imgur.com/kG1qXpb.mp4

Guessing some LED strips attached to the door, with a switch on the garage door opener rail (Genie uses limit switches on the opener rail to tell the opener when to stop), or door tracks, triggered when the door is fully opened. Neat trick, surprised someone didn't come up with a commercial version sooner.

https://www.garagedoorlighting.com/ Yeah its just LED strips with a contactor that completes the circuit once the door is open.

Yeah im going to keep focusing on the wiring for a bit. Between what needs to go to the PDM, the Relay Box, the fuse distribution block, and what gets tossed, my gears are burning whatever wd-40 i got left for brain fluid. I'm used to doing off road cars on the daily, but being mindful of things like hidden splices that power air bag modules and other weird poo poo kind gives me anxiety. All I can handle is about 3 beers of it at a time.

My water heater, which is one year old, which replaced the old one that flooded my garage, has developed a leak and the gas regulator or something related randomly harmonizes some high pitch noise, it goes away when i turn off the gas. The pressure relief is working fine and i ruled it out as the source of the noise. So I had to push out the car to the driveway and now I await the original installers of the water heater to take a look. gently caress!
