Don't remember it being good, no reason to remember this but it just popped into my head -- one of those ~2010s terrorism movies that thought it was smart by not being 24, gist was a joint European/American investigation into a Muslim guy with a like shipping company in Germany suspected of financing extremist groups. Ending was they bait him into signing some document that proves to them that he's knowingly involved, and all the Europeans intend to surveil him to further uncover this network but the Americans immediately grab him off the street, toss him in a van presumably to take him to a black site. Don't remember a single person in it to look it up by.

Kind of sounds like "A Most Wanted Man", particularly the ending. Stars Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
Yep, thanks, that's it. Vaguely remembered Robin Wright .

Funny thing is, someone asked about that very same film just a month earlier!
And I did not even recognize from their description that we were looking for the same movie!

Can't remember if this is a tv show or movie, but I want to say it's a cartoon. Someone is singing a song about one of the characters to the tune of Barry Manilow's Mandy.
Simpsons, "The Last Temptation of Homer", about the lady at the power plant he has a crush on, Mindy.

a movie (possibly TV show?) from the 2000s/2010s, where a guy starts dating an overweight/"unnattractive" woman, and the relationship goes well but he hides it from his coworkers/friends. Eventually she discovers this and becomes violent (I cant remember whether it was towards him or towards herself?)

I can remember the female characters face but cant identify her bc I cant remember her name or what else shes been in
I only know it as described on a bad movie podcast and it's earlier, 1989, but: the Ricki Lake TV movie "Babycakes"?

Short dialogue excerpted as the last ~30 seconds of this song; in brief, first man says to the second man that he envies his life as a poet; poet responds that he envies the life of the swordsman.

This was a Black List script, probably from about ten years ago, got mentioned on a podcast and I've always wondered if it ever got made in any form.

quote:

"Frisco: A fortysomething pediatric allergist who specializes in hazelnut and is facing a divorce learns lessons in living from a wise-beyond-her-years terminally-ill 15-year-old patient when she crashes his weekend trip to a conference in San Francisco."
Only thing I see on IMDB that could match is just this that only says "in development". I'm just curious what the gently caress that could possibly look like.

Circa 2002, made-for-Comedy-Central movie they incessantly promoted like it was some landmark event, maybe the first feature-length of the network's own production? College sex comedy, plot was likely in the ballpark of some nerds have to throw an orgy or make a porno or something. Presumably dogshit. What was the name of that, was there some gimmick attached?

Nah, not The Girl Next Door either though I wanted to say this also involved loving in a library. Debuted on TV, not an existing franchise, don't remember any famous actors. I think they intended to it to be one of those things they ran all the time but it flopped hard.

Only dialogue I recall is someone describing their sexuality as "polymorphously perverse" or something not exactly a real term like that, I think featured in the ads.

Polymorphously perverse is a phrase from Annie Hall, doubt that’s what you’re looking for though lol
Interesting, wonder if it got quoted in the one I was thinking of or if I got a weird wire crossed. Only saw Annie Hall once years ago.
