Yeah, I've seen it a couple times on my Switch. Though you then have to power cycle anyway. Earlier consoles like NES/SNES the game wouldn't get Nintendo's Seal of Approval if there were any crashes, so the game's crash handler was usually a 'secret level select screen found' menu or the like as a disguise.

Some games would just show crash handler, you can find a fair few on TCRF by searching 'handler'. I like the one for Discworld 2 (it crashes a lot on a legit PS2 for some reason) that says "watch in amazement as the playstation eats itself!!!" well, someone post some kickass discworld or the watch fanart

Yeah, Delicious in Dungeon owns. The manga is reportedly one of the very best in recent years (though I haven't read it yet myself), and the anime adaption is handled by one of the best animation studios in the business. It also has a really good English dub if that's what you prefer.
