the new job comes with an unexpected perk— there's big beautiful english-style gardens in the back of the historic house, and after I expressed interest in landscaping our new house all of a mile and a half away, the groundskeeper lit up like "well if you want hostas, I got some growing in the wrong place..." so now we have hostas.
