To follow on this, if you see someone earnestly posting about gangstalking please report the post, regardless of the forum. It's come up in the past (thankfully not often), and we try to handle it as quickly as possible.

I have 3 big grocery stores within 5 miles of my house. 2 are major local chains, one is an independent store owned by a super wealthy family that owns about half of the area. I don't personally shop at the independent store because I got expired food in the past, it was kind of dirty overall, and it's not very convenient to get to. The prices weren't great and the selection was solidly "okay". Yesterday, it was announced that store was closing. yeah thats my local nextdoor and facebook groups 100%. Someone even posted that the rate of restaurants closing/failing is pretty much unchanged vs 20 years ago locally, and in fact some stats showing that retail vacancy rates are some of the lowest they've been. It doesn't matter. McFoobles Family Buffet closed down!!!! it's been in the nighbourhood for 15 years and its closing down!! More evidence that this city council's war on small business is killing our community!! Every single closed business is evidence at the city is dying due to soft on crime and anti-capitalist government. Every crime in the news is evidence that we're living in a crime wave. 10 years ago there was no crime and every business succeeded and lasted forever.

Mine is swamped by people who are having meltdowns over offshore wind turbines being (maybe) built off the coast. People who have never given a poo poo about the environment are suddenly very concerned that whales and dolphins are going to die by swimming into stationary objects, despite it never being an issue anywhere else they've been built. That's not going to stop the fossil fuel/nuclear lobby from funding astroturf groups, whom are Very Concerned about what turbines will do marine life (not industrial fishing, pollution, boat traffic or anything else actually proven to be killing them mind you) They're swearing up and down that they will sell their summer home and NEVER vacation here again, because of some specs on the horizon, 10 miles out. Also posting telescopic lens photos of the windmills by Rhode Island because they're too far out to see from the shoreline My prior neighborhood wasn't nearly as affluent, so Nextdoor was mostly people looking for work, sharing info about church food pantries and social services, trying to find a place to live, or sharing info about homeless people. You know, actual problems. Now it's boomers organizing dinner fundraisers so a grifting law firm can file a meritless lawsuit against the government to demand an INDEPENDENT investigation into the windmills because obviously the eco-nuts at the BOEM are lying about the impact underseas cables have on the whales.
