You write it out with stories in the match itself, also phases of the match to help feed those stories. This seemed to have neither except for a few small places, it was all an afterthought to getting Brock out there.

I had to step away to handle something right before the men's Rumble match started. I paused it but since Peacock is a piece of poo poo, after a while it just stops on a live event, so when I restarted, I had to go to it live, which was Bad Bunny's entrance. So after seeing that poo poo ending I saves myself 40 some odd minutes and probably at least another year of my life from watching this garbage company

In fact, it puts Lesnar in a more advantageous position to take Roman's title via RR/Wrestlemania. Also, Lesnar wouldn't have been scheduled to be in the Rumble at the beginning of the night, since he was a champion. Was number 30 meant to be Lashley's spot? None of it makes sense. The plot makes no sense

There's no excuse for having the Rumble matches be so bad. Plus WWF matches usually have competent wrestling before bad finishes; nearly half of this four hour show was just people leaning on each other without bothering to have two people do spots to distract you from it

Wasnt the person credited with making all the best rumbles good pat patterson? Who died in 2020? And even when the rumbles started to suck, there were rumors and innuendo that road dogg was taking care of rumbles and he was the only one putting it above lovely level, and he's gone too With Nick Khan cutting everyone he can, who is left who has any track record of booking a good battle royale?

The thing i like about the Royal Rumble is when they use them to either call back to, or advance a relationship or story. You can't advance anything when half the competitors are only around for the one event on the women's side
