Unrelated to the current chapter - that one cover page where Kaya ignores a group of suitors makes me wonder if Usopp is being set up as an Odysseus figure. He's already got the "cunning" thing locked up. Is he going to get back to Syrup Village and fire a slingshot through twelve axe shafts?

The problem for me was getting two major pieces of exposition/foreshadowing from the same character, Who's Who of all people. He brings up both Nika and the Gum Gum fruit during his fight with Jimbei, even though he has no reason to believe they're connected. Just felt sloppy. It's not like Nika is entirely out of nowhere, though. There's been "sun god" imagery associated with Luffy for decades.
