I'm being sincere in saying this: Bray, and the Fiend, is the zoomers Undertaker. His reach is very far and it doesn't translate to older viewers who well we had The Undertaker. They didn't, they just remember an old decrepit biker.

The Streak contains Giant Gonzales, the hanging of Big Boss Man and the abysmal Syd match, and you ignore it because you only remember the best of the man's career. Which, to be fair, couldn't be killed by coming out to either Kid Rock or Limp Bizkit and in fact had some of the best matches with those unfortunate themes. H.R. AEW is cool and all with it's heavier focus on workrate and what not but the peak of my love for wrestling was when it was all dumb poo poo all the time (Attitude Era) so Bray really rubs that itch for me.

Also internally with all the popularity he had the company saw him as their Taker and used that to justify the bad booking. "He can take a loss, they'll still love him" Which hell, it's hard to argue completely with that, he just came back from being a budget cut and got the companys' fans' biggest ovation of the year before even showing his face onscreen
