Eh, I thought this chapter was a pretty elegant explanation of why the Ghost User was so busted, and what his fundamental weakness was. Of course a killing intent user is going to be disproportionately powerful due to being a perfect assassin on a philosophical level, but the psychological nature of his power means that he's vulnerable to people who've successfully transcended the life of an assassin. Overcoming killing intent with compassion is kind of Gero's whole thing.

I think he was wrong, yes, if only because nobody's ever yet been correct in assuming that Gero has been weakened by his quest for marriage. Yes, that does mean the Ghost User was legitimately a top five-level badass, but at the expense of dangerous overspecialisation.

Yeah, that's my take on her, and tbh I think it has more to do with how early she appeared in the manga than anything against her specifically. I don't think the mangaka had quite a grasp on how they wanted to present the love interests until Hamster Girl, and since then every new one has been like "oh I love them too," and for entirely different reasons
