I feel like the logic of "wearing debuffs constantly making you strong" doesn't make a lot of sense!

Oh well, I'll forgive it if ghost guy still gets owned next chapter.

I don't think it made him strong, it merely disguised his strength. Like he said, he was hoping to catch Gero by surprise.

I mean, the "stronger then Gero who modifies hie strength with a bunch of Chemicals" had to have come from somewhere, so presumably he became strong through "resistance training via the curses."

Eh, I thought this chapter was a pretty elegant explanation of why the Ghost User was so busted, and what his fundamental weakness was.

Of course a killing intent user is going to be disproportionately powerful due to being a perfect assassin on a philosophical level, but the psychological nature of his power means that he's vulnerable to people who've successfully transcended the life of an assassin. Overcoming killing intent with compassion is kind of Gero's whole thing.

But that doesn't explain why he was so certain the top families were beyond him. I doubt the other top families' have mentally "moved beyond assassination."

Was he just wrong and he actually had managed to become as strong as a top family user?

I mean, Gero kinda just got lucky here. Though I guess Gero getting a bullshit power-up actually just cancels out Ghost-user's bullshit power-up, so it's all even in the end.
