The beginning chapters of the manga always seemed to me that Ryoko was just joking around at first. She uses very gamified terms that you see in isekais, like the world is just a game, (the group is just a "party" and new people are Noobs) Then every chapter she gets more and more into it, expanding lore and characters and its just great.

Yeah in Dwarf fortress theres a name generation mechanic where you can customize every syllable of a name which corrisponds to a meaning in the language. For example Koganusān is Boatmurdered I feel like it would be easier to translate it to other western languages like german, spanish and french. but really hard to translate to an eastern language which is way different in structure.

It might be in a future episode so spoilers I think they say that Monsters cant be resurected because of the deathless curse that binds a soul to the dungeon, Monsters are kinda creations of the dungeon itself and are exempt from the curse, as for animals i dont think its specified but maybe since they are from outside of the dungeon, its possible they could be brought back. i think this explanation might be in the next episode (USER WAS PUT ON PROBATION FOR THIS POST) Hihohe fucked around with this message at 04:48 on Mar 9, 2024 |

Eh to me names just eventually fit, i think were programed as humans to just accept a name no matter how silly or mundane. Hell the School name in harry potter is Hog Warts, yet i dont even really think twice when hearing the name of it. You just kind of accepted it.

Id say this series doesnt really change its tone and get "darker" its stakes just get upped as weve seen and i think twitter people are getting that mixed up. Its like thinking dbz got darker when they went from the frieza saga to the Cell saga
