Oh drat, sword mollusk looks very cute animated. Really happy with this. Going into the anime I thought Trigger was going to be the right choice for this, but these chapters felt like the first real test if they were going to nail it. And I feel like they did. yay!

She has a few one shots that were built around grounding role playing scenarios. Dungeon meshi was actually another one in this line before it got serialized. I think its more she just wanted to hook people with a simple premise before expanding it out, based on how her previous one shots played out.

finally got to watch the new episode! good stuff. good marcille hair in this episode. marcille's hair is one of the high points of the manga so this will be the ultimate determinator of quality of the anime series.

this is probably my favorite one yet. i always liked this pair of chapters, some really cool ideas in both. living armor was when ryoko kui really first wow'd me but she just shows immediately here that she can consistently come up with some really creative stuff using these concepts. and the animation just remains really fun. also a lot of small marcille/fallin moments 🥹🙏

I was hoping they would do some fun stuff the art style when Laois went into the paintings before this episode came out and while they didn't I am not disappointed cause they saved all the effort animation for the mimic stuff. Which was probably the right decision because those scenes were super fun and had a lot of energy.

My favorite episode yet! Marcille focused so not really a surprised but still just great animation throughout. The more the series continues the more I find myself loving it as its own thing beyond just it being a well done adaptation.
