I don't really blame Masai for any of this. Seems like just the cycle of a team.

Ed Rogers III no points for guessing why he's head of Rogers/MLSE has been taking a more direct role and vetoing decisions allegedly. He apparently was the guy who said it would be a waste of money to get a WNBA team

I will always take the opportunity to post the Bama baseball coach getting fired because was on FaceTime with his buddy trying to convince a sportsbook to let him put $100,000 on an upcoming Bama game. The typical amount bet on college baseball games at that sportsbook is $0.

You're forgetting that when the bookmaker correctly asked why he was betting that much he basically said "I got insider information bro"

Here's a possession from January. There's something that happens in this possession that makes it special, something that only happened once in the NBA over the last ten seasons. Can you guess what is unique about it?

And now Olynyk tonight.

I'd like to amend my statement from a week or so ago where I said they weren't blatantly tanking. At this point they absolutely are. The funny thing is that even if they stay below Memphis and finish with the 6th worst record in the league, there's still a 55% chance they lose the pick.

Lol holding out our only competent ish big man against the Wolves

Time to watch other teams/baseball

Edit: Also yes the is top 6 protected this year and next then becomes two seconds in 2026. I don't see why we're not trying to convey the pick - the only way you wouldn't is if you wanted to do some Bulls esque poo poo and go all out for the play in next year. There's some people with rose tinted glasses who think we'll be competitive next year which uh

Steph has had the most expensive supporting cast in the last 5 seasons and missed the playoffs 3 out of 5 times. He's also subbed out on some defensive possessions in the clutch. It isn't just his team.

The bulk of that money was Wiggins turning back into a pumpkin when he got paid, Klay remembering he broke his ACL and Achilles and Dray being Dray. That's 100MM of the 110MM cap that isn't really working

Goons being weird about the invocations before Thunder games is hilarious. They're the most milquetoast of prayers, "let everybody get home safe tonight and have a good time," last about 10 seconds. Don't want to join along by bowing your head and clasping your hands? That's fine, literally no one gives a poo poo. Some folks pretending they're giving a CHRISTIAN fire-and-brimstone sermon from the court. There's plenty of things to hate the Thunder for, you don't need to look like some fedora-wearing FSM dumbass.

Standing at attention and putting your hand over your heart for the Star-Spangled Banner is much, much weirder than the invocation, but no one talks about that because we're all acculturated to it.

Hey. If it's a generic prayer why has a Muslim never been invited to perform it

Edit: apparently it's been done by FN leaders. It could be no one asked. I hate singing the anthem before random games. Sing it at the finals not an April game lol

tbf I also extremely mock and don't do this poo poo.

I hate the performativism and the fact half the people testifying at a game like our national dipshit Don Cherry couldn't be bothered to support The Flag and Veterans when they weren't of use.

I don't know if the States has anyone like that who like wrapped themselves up in the flag but when it came to wounded veterans or substandard military housing was like "lol gently caress off"

NBA League Pass Audio is $10 per year. It got pretty bad last year at the Microsoft takeover of LP but it's back to working just fine around halfway into this season.

You can get it with whatever subscription service TuneIn has, and SiriusXM, and if your broadcaster provides high quality audio it'll be brodacast in higher quality audio but honestly like 80% of the teams still don't do that and audio league pass is a better deal to me because of it.

I wish I lived in a real country instead of a stupid bunch of oligarchs in a trenchcoat so I could use these awesome deals

(Rogers probably has some poo poo version you can only get if you already have cable. The app is developed using Canadian research grant money by Tata. It works 20% of the time)

I think he was never gonna get any respect from certain sections of the media no matter what he did, and his personality doesn't seem to do him any favours. He can't guard Jokic, that's great, no one else can lol

I don't think there's anyone left in the playoffs who'll do a better job

I think different countries having different rules for this stuff is funny. Donte DiVincenzo can’t play for Italy but Megan Gustafson, white Wisconsonian, can become a spanish citizen and play for their national team despite not having an ounce of Spanish heritage

Letting ringers from the States beef up other countries is how you make the competition more competitive, you don't want it to be like women's hockey where there's a bunch of quarter final stage smackdowns
