larsona: "I'm not a butt guy at all, I like the boobs. Her boobs are a very nice size. HUGE boobs are a turnoff for me, hers are big enough to be considered sultry, but not hideous and fake-looking.

Her skinny, well-toned body complements it, and then that beautiful face.

Hands down the hottest/prettiest rendered character I've ever seen. Lightning is OK looking, nowhere close to Carmilla. Bonus points for Lightning having the personality of a wet fart."

larsona again: "She's not fat at all really.

Her boobs are plump, and the bottom of her dress has a large girth, so it can give that false impression. She's actually quite curvy"

Well, you know, they're the LORDS OF SHADOW. It's important that we remember that "shadows" usually means evil things. That's what they teach at the Brotherhood.

He's trying -really- hard. This script isn't great, and talent alone isn't gonna cover that up. Especially when the rest of the characters are emotionless robots, such as our favorite Gabriel Bot.

If you look around the internet in certain areas you will find large quantities of pornographic imagery related to impaling and beheading women. I think this is some kind of horrific fetish because there seems to be a hell of a lot of people who get really turned on by the idea of a woman dying via phallic impalement :catstare:

I remember when GameFAQs was a really good place to go to find fairly high quality FAQs for almost every game on the market, dear god how they have fallen.

Its still good for that, you just have to make sure you're going for only that and don't stray from the line. Ever. But then, the same could be said for a lot of places online.

Well, the internet is filled with weird poo poo in general. Video games seem a bit more focused, but still attract the same amount of deranged groups/fetishes, only it's generally applied to VG characters instead of...well, actual people. Is this better? Is this SAFER? Social dilemma question of the thread: Are people that picture video game characters in weird phallic impalement fetishes any less creepfucks than those that picture them to real people? YOU be the judge! Don't do this, rather let's just agree that the GameFAQ forums are weird and creepy.

Yeah, a lot of the FAQ's are still really well done and serve their purpose just right. Don't you dare go into the message boards or for the most part (just on a lesser scale), the review sections, or you'll be quickly shocked and awe'd.

Chapter 8

The Dark Lord of the Vampires! Carmilla is trying to seduce Gabriel to her side, for what reason we can only guess, because like RSCNyx says, why the gently caress would she want someone like him on her side? THe fight isn't too bad, just dealing with her human form force lightning spam, and then her true form. Once we stab her through the heart with the Vampire Killer and break it off, we collect the Seraph Shoulders (double jump) and collect our second piece of the Go...OH HEY PAN, THANKS FOR POPPING OUT OF THAT MIRROR TO SAY HI.

We've got wings of our own now goat boy, so take your eagle form and piss off back to wherever please.

I'll try and upload the trailer for the game, now that we've made it far enough that it won't spoil MUCH for us! It only took us to Chapter 9 ! hahaha

There seems to be quite some lag between your commentary and the visuals, this episode. Loving the steadily rising amount of craziness in Lords of Shadow. I went back and watched the video again, and you're absolutely right. I ran into something similar in the last video for Chapter 7. I THINK it has something to do with ElGato doing something to the source file in some way. The source file will sometimes have a tad bit of desynch in it (happened twice now, Chapter 7, and now this video), but will play fine in ElGato itself. I have to cut parts of the audio and re-arrange it in Vegas at certain points to make it synch properly. The commentary track seems to be slightly delayed because of this. The catch is, is that with no editing, the raw video was desynched by approx. 2 seconds about half way through. After just purely rendering it in Vegas, with no editing, the desynch happens 5 minutes earlier, and is about 4 seconds. So I'm not sure what the hell is going on. The only way I know for SURE to correct this, is to go back and re-record the entire video from scratch, and hope ElGato processes it correctly. If it's a huge deal I can always do a re-record of this video, which will take a bit of time, but if it needs to be done, it needs to be done if you guys think it's worth it.

Essentially, what I'm trying to say is that I am basically the Gabriel of LP Editing, and I need to just come out and admit that I actually use the ElGabriel to record my stuff. All is now explained. poo poo breaks randomly on me, and I'm oblivious to it until somebody points it out to me. So thanks thread, for being the Zobek to my Gabriel!

Well of course it was something! It had Carmilla in it! And in case you've forgotten, she WAS voted the "Hottest Video Game Char Ever!", by GameFAQs!

But I'm with you man. I've been a fan of this series since the original, and I've played nearly all of the titles save for some of the more obscure ones, such as Rebirth, and Judgement, (although, IGA says that Judgement is a 3rd Person Adventure game that just happens to have fighting elements in it, :tinfoil:, so maybe I should give it a try!). Love the CV series, and while LoS breaks the mold in a lot of aspects, it loving SHATTERS it, I still enjoy tinkering around in it, and just watching how deep the rabbit hole really goes, and pondering if it was all intentionally done to be this way, or if the good people at MercurySteam were really taking this seriously.

Either way, I'm glad you're enjoying it! And yes, we plan on doing a run of both MoF and LoS2 afterwards, because I mean hell, we're a third of the way through the series now, why the hell not.

d) true, on the surface, but wait for the big climactic reveal in the last stage to completely destroy this
e) he gets fired....kinda/sorta/maybe/MercurySteam never really makes it clear :(

Does he do other stuff?

For example, does he go riding his bike in the park, when a policewoman says "Oi! You can't ride your bike on the grass!" so he goes "Oh no?" And her uniform falls off, and she goes "Ahh!" and she's trying to cover up, but he's seen everything anyway?

(I'd assume if he did the next scene would show him getting on his bike and riding off. On the grass.)

Just wait and see, there are two big 'reveals' in this game and both of them are actually surprisingly well foreshadowed and explain a bunch of previously strange things. They're one of the few parts of the story that is done competently.

So now that we're a full 9 chapters into the game, we can finally show the trailer without anything getting spoiled! (It still spoils a character, at least in name). But hey, enjoy the tantalizing teaser that plays when you boot up the game!

So also, in regards to the last actual update. Leave it as is, or re-record it and upload it again with the commentary track synched better, which would you guys prefer?
