Yes it's that time of the year again for the tournament of "states, minorities, stateless peoples and regions unaffiliated with FIFA organised by ConIFA". So while you are waiting for Football to Come Home, why not enjoy watching Padania beat the Samis on their home turf (do not try to find any bad streams as this is not televised afaik) Taking place in Östersund, The Republic of Jämtland, Sweden - the state of my Parents, which unfortunately is a 6h drive away otherwise I could have filled this thread with pictures of polar bears for your viewing pleasure. Matches starts today and Padania absolutely stomped Darfur with an impressing 20-0. Here are the teams and groups which was drawn in Östersund March 24th by ConIFA World President Per-Anders Blind. According to Blind this is the largest organized event outside FIFA. Blue Screen Error posted:Do any of these teams have professional players OP? No but apparently Morten Gamst-Pedersen has Sami heritage so he could theoretically be called up and Mario Balotelli's brother plays for Padania. The tournament is a bit interesting as the teams are a mix of teams just wanting to show of their old heritage and teams who are there as a political statement saihttam fucked around with this message at 13:27 on Jun 1, 2014 |

And I think Stefan Johansen from Celtic could've played for them as well. I think they could have filled the squad with players from Tippeligaen and the first division (and that's just in Norway), but the league is going atm so guess they had to settle for third or fourth tier players.
