Our AC has worked fine and dandy after the last few years, but as of last week the vents just blow hot air - even warmer than ambient temperature. I checked the refrigerant pressure, and it seems totally fine. What else can it be? I tried a google search for troubleshooting tips, but I couldn't find anything useful. I'm fairly handy, but I have no idea how to diagnose A/C systems.

We have a thread for this, but were you checking static pressure or running pressure? Is the compressor kicking on?

Whoops, I lazily checked the 1st page and didn't look on. Should I continue in that thread?

I just took a look and noticed that the compressor doesn't run. I checked the running pressure using one of those "self fill" cans.
