They Bleed Pixels is Meat Boy-esque hardcore platforming challenge with a simple but neato single-button combat system. Luftrausers goes from simple to balletic combat madness, and is incredibly satisfying. I hear Nidhogg is loving awesome too.

Those parts sucked. The rest was pure ridicuhard platforming bliss.

Tower of Heaven is perfect. Other cool indie games are Aquaria, Atom Zombie Smasher, La Mulana, Mark of the Ninja, Castle Crashers, and Trials HD.
