When I'm riding in a car, I prefer the back right seat. Now this is a coveted seat, since if it's just two people in the car you can't just sit back there by yourself like your friend is Morgan Freeman and you're Miss Daisy. So that's why I like sitting in the back seat.

the 1982 Volvo 245 GLT has a loving stellar front passenger seat. It's like a goddamn Stressless chair. also mid 90's Civics had it figured out

as a kid i always liked being in the trunk area minivans only, though, so you can keep talking with people in the vehicle and maintain a minor semblance of comfort

For my money you can't beat the front passenger seat. A clear view of the road ahead, you can chat to the driver without looking in mirrors and access to the radio.
