I bought a (foreclosure) house this year with an in ground vinyl liner pool. I've done a lot of work on it (new pump, redid some flex hose stuff on the equipment pad), but this is my first time ever closing a pool. I grew up in Texas and while we had a pool, my dad never closed it. I'm assuming there's a few people here who have more experience with this than I do. It's getting down into the mid/upper 20s this weekend overnight. I haven't closed yet and don't want to buy the stuff I need locally. Are my pipes/filters all going to freeze if I just run the pump all night? At some point if this thread takes off I'll update this OP with some good, useful information. Right now I learn everything from troublefreepool.com, they are a pretty great resource.

If you leave the pump running it will be just fine until you get the supplies you need to close the pool.
