funny enough they actually have good internet in nz since the government stepped in around 2008 to force the primary telco to split into -wholesale/infrastructure -retail wholesale/infrastructure division is forced to sell access to everyone at the same rate as their own retail division then they spent a ton of money on subsidizing the wholesale/infrastructure to lay fiber around the whole country, with the same rule of not being able to sell it the end user customers and having to let everyone have the same price of access end result is most people having fiber to the home right now or VDSL2+ for areas that'll get fiber in a year or two

it's kinda strange to see some mobile wireless company in NZ that used to only offer mobile phones now also offering fiber/VDSL2+ for home internet because of that law also there's a ton of smaller ISPs that you can switch around if you are not happy with one or another, all going through the same exact physical line coming into your house

well anecdotes but basically everyone I know who uses sarnsung phones and doesn't CJ them has been pretty satisfied and has had their needs suited. the ones who cj'd their phone with custom roms and poo poo however

it's probably a less consistent stream when international esp round peak times but I hardly feel like I can complain v v considering I've paid about the same for Internet for like 5-6 years and my speeds and data caps always go up. could pay an extra 30 a mo for 100/30 but why would ya bother

my cost as gone up as promotions expired but my download speeds have more than doubled in the 18 months i've been on comcast (upload has stayed the same lol), so i can't really complain. though i should call and get whatever promotion thye're running now
