You only got like 3 shots but they struck fear across the park.

My little brother got this and he was so small he had to put the thing on the ground, lock his legs around the tank, and two hand the pump. Poor kid could barely hold the barrel level.

I will not shut up about the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. I talk about them all the time and work them into every conversation I have. I built a shrine in my room for the yellow one who died because sadly no one noticed because she died around 9/11. Wanna see it?

I loved my super soaker 60. It was silver with blue trim. In the winter (too cold for water fights) me and my brother would pretend they were pulse rifles and re-enact all the cool scenes from Aliens.

I had a crappy one that had two little nozzles and it rotated to fire a spiral stream. You didn't pull a trigger to fire it; instead, you pulled back on it like a piston to fire the water and spin the barrels if I remember right.

While I'm here, I remember this line toys called Supernaturals which all had these cool and gory holograms inside their chests of mummies and werewolves and such. Holograms don't seem to exist in toys like this anymore.

edit: My mistake; these were 80s toys.

It's a fun game when there are no stakes but the idea that you get to keep the Pogs you flip kinda eats into the collectability vs play aspect of the game and gently caress you if you think I'm giving up my foil Pure Poison pogs

I had an XP50 & my neighbor friend had the 100, fun as hell during summer & I think we even had multiple bottles for quick refills. Hard to believe that was 30+ years ago…:sigh:

I remember watching that as a kid even then being like, ":wtf: this is on TV?"

There was this block of programming on MTV called Liquid Television that was full of weird poo poo. I remember a show about a dude with a giant head that an alien lived in.

Liquid TV ruled, that’s where Beavis & Butthead started. Then there was The Maxx, The Head, Joe’s Apartment, Crazy Daisy Ed…so much weird variety for the time :)

I was kinda mad when you stopped having to ante up Magic the Gathering cards, but kids would get super bent out of shape when they lost because of it, and some who didn't have any cards of their own play with my decks and want to keep my cards if they won, .

I think MTV is just desperate to relive their glory days now that airing "16 and pregnant" or whateverthefuck 27 hours a day isn't working.

If they did it earlier they probably could have done an adult swim esque thing.

I was just playing Ion Fury and thinking about the color palette not really reflecting the 90s aesthetics, and I realize now I was very, very wrong.

I dunno, a lot of that strikes me as more early 2000s. Maybe it's just the color temperature of the lightbulbs throwing me off.
