CornHolio posted:Except they can't be legally titled, can they? Depends on your state. In Ohio you can have just about anything as long as you have land and can reasonably say it's for farm use, or if you never use it commercially you can register it as a non-commercial truck and get away with that even with air brakes. That website has minimum bids which sucks. http://www.govliquidation.com/Trucks-and-Other-Vehicles.html is where it's at.

Can't wait to see how hilariously expensive the first batch of HMMWVs go for. I will be living vicariously through a lot of build threads after this.

Anyone know the legality of shipping a truck to Canada? I just watched a heavy tow truck go for criminally low money.

I buy a lot of stuff from govliquidation (work) and there's always US Citizen requirements as well as certified end user requirements to make sure that you're not just some weirdo.

For every dollar in taxes you pay, you get a token, and can turn in your tokens at the government surplus store for awesome poo poo. Rich people don't pay taxes, so you wouldn't have to worry about them hoarding all the tanks for their own personal armies.

I had a line on an HMMWV I could have used for a LeMons race once, but I talked to Jay about it, and he said that absolutely not they wouldn't allow it. Even the most bare bones M1152 would have a hard time coming in under the 5000 pound weight max, anyway. Kind of bummed me out.

Over 25 years old means it can be antique plated too as long as you have another vehicle registered. Theft is still illegal though.
