Problem description: Trying to enable SLI on a Q87M-E ASUS motherboard Using 2x PNY GTX 460s. No option for SLI appears in Nvidia control panel.

Attempted fixes: Reseat both cards. Reseat SLI bridge. Install latest NVIDIA driver. Tested both cards with monitor and they give the same image.

So according to nvidia website my mobo does not support SLI. Secondary question is: would I get any performance boost from having 2 video cards running without SLI?

The only slight thing you might see (which I don't think is really worth it) would be to have 1 for graphcis, and the other used for the nvidia physics engine. Not many things use it at the moment
