This article reminded me of something in a Tim Dorsey novel. A bank builds a giant glass dome into its roof made to the tolerances of the Hubble telescope. The result is a trench burned into the floor by the heat ray created from the sunlight concentrated by the glass. It's ants burned by a magnifying glass and the bank workers are the ants.
