I've never been to one. It's a friend's birthday tomorrow and he wants to go to one, so we are. It will be me, him his girlfriend (who i guess is bi?), and another male friend. Is there like a strip club etiquette or something?

It's common courtesy to sit as close to the stage as possible if you don't plan on tipping a ton. Don't forget to ask for a kiss!

It will probably be expected of you and the other guests to chip in for a lap dance (or several) for him, so bring a decent amount of money even if you don't plan to get one yourself. If you want to drink, do your drinking before you go, because if the club serves alcohol it's going to be ridiculously expensive. Overall, just follow the rules about touching (there's a good chance there will be a no touching at all rule), and don't be stingy with the tips or they will start ignoring your group. In the end, it's probably going to be an awkward, expensive, unsatisfying night, and he and his girlfriend will probably get in a fight at some point when she decides she's suddenly not OK with the situation.

No matter what a stripper tells you, there is no sex in the champagne room.

Is there like a strip club etiquette or something? Serious reply for you: #1. Don't touch, they can touch you, and if a stripper is comfortable enough with you they'll put your hands where they deem its ok for them to be. #2. Don't feel like you have to say yes if someone comes up and asks you for a lap dance. I personally will hang out and watch a few rotations of girls on stage before picking out who I would shell out money to get a dance from. Also as a general rule always say no to the first offer of a dance (unless you've already had time to survey and its one of the more attractive ones in the club) typically the terrible dancers who have rent due tomorrow will approach every guy in the place trying for dances, they're doing quantity over quality and I promise its not worth it - don't be that guy. #3. Your friends girlfriend will most likely get crazy attention from the dancers and have a fun time, this is perfectly normal regardless of how attractive a female customer actually is. #4. I tend to save my cash for dances/tips and open a tab for drinks, this way you don't have to use the ATM inside the bar - never do this, there is usually some ridiculous $10 service fee and a maximum withdrawl of $100, get your cash beforehand and plan out accordingly. #5. Avoid shotgirls like the plague, the shots are overpriced and the shotgirls will try to convince you to buy them/the dancer you're talking to/the bartender etc. shots as well, what started as a shot for your friends and you turns into 7 somehow and you're looking at an empty wallet. Happy to answer any other questions you may have, I make it a habit to go to the local strip clubs every time I travel so I'm pretty well versed.

Lap dance rates are per song - $20 per song is reasonable, I've seen upwards of $50 being charged though. If the stripper asks you for "just one more song" that's another $20-$50 if you say yes. (It probably should go without saying, but this is a great way of burning through money very quickly.)

Went to the strip club, that did not happen (at least not at the club). We bought him a dance, it was a fun time, I will probably never go to a strip club again. Thanks for the advice!

The trick to strip clubs is to be a step away from staggering drunk when you walk in the door, and to buy just enough booze to keep yourself there until you leave. They can be a blast, when done properly (drunk.) When you're sober, strip clubs are just depressing. Bonus: In Tampa, clubs can only serve alcohol if they aren't full-nude. (Titty-bars, essentially.) Full-nude clubs must be dry. Sobering up in a strip club is one of the worst things you can do with your time. I do not recommend it.

So you have 2 hours of sobering up inside a strip club to do. Hope you remembered a flask.
