Using XP on this machine. Most Youtube vids play fine in Chrome, but some (maybe 20%) don't play the audio although the video is fine otherwise. The same vids play properly in other browsers so it's obviously a Chrome issue. I've googled but no luck. Any ideas?

Have you tried Firefox? Really the obvious answer is that computers running operating systems from 14 years ago won't work right with modern websites.
