I'm looking to get a GPS receiver to load up with maps and use for hiking, biking and travel. I've had some experience with a Garmin GPSMAP 64s, which worked decently for hiking, but was frustrating to use to find an address in a car.

I've looked at the Montana and the Monterra models. Can't decide between the two. The Monterra seems to be plagued with problems according to reviews and a terrible battery life and is probably due to be upgraded soon. From YouTube videos, the Montana/Oregon models had a laggy interface.

Is there an obvious brand I'm missing to check out or has anyone had any experience with other GPS units?
