Chew Man Fu / Be-Ball was a pretty decent action-puzzle game for when I was 10. Even its translation was a puzzle.

Remember that Keith Courage pack-in game featuring the gayest videogame protagonist? It was colorful little boyman walking around and loving up cute, ankle-high puffball monsters. At the end of the level, he'd ride a rainbow and have a magical-girl transformation. Then he'd show up as a giant laser sword wielding robot on Planet Burningcorpses or something and you'd fight off hosed up monsters made out of body parts that look like they're melting and screaming. It's like the game was waiting for the parents to wander off before showing its true colors or something. Shifty gimbal fucked around with this message at 15:40 on Feb 18, 2015 |
