It's only an occasional annoyance, honestly. Slap in a different machine for your output is probably the easiest solution, second is adjust the mix to keep a negative in. Hardest is combining it with another cure. Biggest problem is the games tend to play out pretty much the same way once you've unlocked all the machines for play. Playing for cash versus playing for x amount of cure doesn't change it up much. Once you've "solved" it, you're just going through the motions.

It's an annoyance later in a game on the off chance the enemy ever starts making anything good, but it can really gently caress you over near the beginning when you are really depending on that one easy, useful drug to float you along because you are going after whatever the Hard goal is. ESPECIALLY when you are kind of scrimping on space and couldn't just plug in a different output machine even if you could afford it. Pretty much the only reason to go after patents yourself is to keep the enemies from doing it to you.
