This was my favorite sketch from last week.

Did any of you watch it? Did you like that sketch? How are they holding up into their 5 season of their show? I think they're pretty good.

I'm sorry. I figured I'd give people a chance to click through and watch it, and I could write a description later without risking spoiling it all. But for you:

The main source of humor is the conflict between the two unusually groomed men with a very strange pidgin / dialect and the 'average passenger' "straight man" for the bit that sits to the left of them. The two men act in an absolutely unexpected way that you wouldn't expect on a plane. The two absurd characters talk up the possibility of stopping a terrorist (which they call 'terries') and how excited they are for it. They seem quite serious in their absurdity, and there's a variety of absurd pronunciations and strange terminology (for instance, Jordan Peele's character says he would love to fight a 'terry', especially if they get 'froggy', which is unexplained (but Key's character says 'ribbit, ribbit', which implies it does have something to do with frogs or frog behavior.)

The height of the joke comes from Jordan Peele's character asking the 'straight man' if he trusts him. Of course, he doesn't, but he takes it as a given that he does anyway, and reveals they are both armed. The intensity is ramped up (and the music changes slightly) as he reveals he has a box cutter (the same weapon used in the 9/11 attacks to hijack the planes). The 'straight man' goes from confused/annoyed to legitimately scared now, though Peele's character claims, 'It's leaguewell' (legal).

Then Key's character reveals he has a Plan B. He's got a firearm, 3d printed and 'you can't scan these mammajammas'. The real and immediate danger of these two insane men ready to fight who have armed themselves with lethal weapons makes the man shout for help, saying they were armed. The other two respond thinking they're responding to a terrorist threat. All three are subdued. The video freezes and pans out: It's a TSA questionaire of some sort, which instructs you on how to deal with terries who are trying to get froggy. It was extremely well executed all around and even the ending is pretty satisfying imo, and ending a comedy sketch is really hard.

It certainly can be. They're not perfect. One of the major themes of this season seems to be them struggling with their male-perspective feminism, their desire to sometimes objectify women conflicting with their desire to see equality.

some of there sketches are really good that i cant recognize them in other sketches when they have different hair and stuff. sort of reminds me of portlandia but not focused on a city and its just about two guys. i like it.

Sometimes they just put on a good show with a slightly amusing premise, but yeah, you can see the ending telegraphed a mile away here.
