i love how shallow the questions are. do you support the death penalty? Yes / State's Rights / No so if you choose no, there's no way to explain that you hate the death penalty in its current incarnation, with nearly endless appeals, and the ongoing tax burden of keeping people incarcerated for decades. if you're in favor of having the judge immediately execute people upon receipt of a guilty verdict via hanging, you get lumped in with the same people that think the death penalty is abhorrent and the state has no business killing people so it's possible that psychopaths who support, say, cruz, wind up getting bernie because the reason they are choosing an answer isn't well defined

The questions only really span the candidate's positions, though - like I personally think the country benefits from drastically relaxed immigration controls period, but that button's two to the left of anything that exists
