We've saved ourselves for years and want to have sex somewhere our neighbors can't hear, but new neighbors can! The trip will be in mid-June. We're not into:

We're giving ourselves around two weeks. We're not travel pros or anything, but our favorite trip ever has been to Costa Rica, the highlight being a hiking tour up Cerro Chato where we swam in the inactive caldera. We'd like to go back, but it's rainy in June (angryface emoticon) Where should we go instead? This is a major life event! Thank you for any advice. Fortunately mid-June is pretty good warm and not raining in most places. Uh, how about something like Italy? Could spend some time in like Rome, Florence, etc and then like Cinque Terre is very nice, cool hiking along the trails there with nice warm water and cute little heritage towns. A whole lot of great culture and good food. It can be touristy in places but mid-June shouldn't be too bad. Croatia is also supposed to be very nice from what people tell me and cheaper + less touristy if those are concerns. I definitely want to make a trip out there soon. http://bridalguide.com/honeymoons/europe/croatia

IMO Italy is going to be uncomfortably hot in mid-June, and since there's no A/C and fans are rare, you probably will want to get naked, but stay as far away from each other as possible. Nix that if your budget is pretty high and you'll be staying in places with AC (maybe in the €150/night range, plus or minus like €50, since it depends where you are). But, that also depends on your heat tolerance. If you liked hiking in Costa Rica, then maybe you won't mind Italy in summer. The Swiss Alps might be right up your alley—it hits all your "we're intos" except for the beaches part. If you have two weeks, you could also spend like a week in Valais (e.g. do some of the Haute Route between Zermatt to Chamonix) and then spend the other week in south of France, near Marseille or Nice. Places should not be too packed—mid-June is before the European holiday season starts. European high holiday season runs from around 1 July to 31 August, plus or minus a few days depending where weekends lie and when kids exactly get out of school.
