EPIC or pci/104 sbc would be the way to go if your ok soldering flat cable instead of using a slot riser you could just strap the sbc to the sound card

Neat-o. Edit: That second one doesn't seem to have regular PCI. Just PCI-e and PCI/104 form factor. Either way, a friend had a pentium 233 in the basement, I switched over to that, and it's actually stable now. Been up for months. Don't even feel like loving with it anymore.
