A great album, it turned me on to Biohazard, whom I love.

Enough with this 3rd Bass bullshit, though, 90s hip hop was defined by a guy in Groucho Marx glasses:

This. I don't know why but I can recite EVERY.SINGLE. word to this. I wasn't into rap when this came out but because MTV played the poo poo of it and it was funny so I somehow memorized it. My fear is that I'll have a stroke one day and the only words I'll remember is this song.

Nurse: how are you today Mr. Bonzo?
Me: Big like a pickle, I'm still gettin' paid.
Nurse: oh that's good. Here are your pills.

There is little that makes me happier than taking drugs. Perhaps administering them, designing and carrying out experiments that bend the plane of what we consider reality.

Hey, look. Look, if- if you screw me on this, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine, you rat bastard!
Much early than the 90s, but this sort of 1987 vibe carried onto the early 90s for a year or so:

In 1990 my parents and my best friend's parents went out of town for the weekend (not together, just worked out that way). Someone decided that it would be awesome to call over our group of friends (ages range 16 - 21) , get drunk and video tape every moment. There's nothing horrible on the tape but there is a huge amount of underage drinking, horrible gay jokes, and mooning the camera. As we have all grown older we've kept the video and all copies under lock and key, only to be viewed when no one but us was around. None of the VHS copies are good anymore but one guy managed to rip it to DVD for a "15th Anniversary Edition". I have the DVD locked away in my fire safe so my kids won't accidentally view it one day. One guy in the video became a high school teacher and now sits on the board of education for the county he lives in and if this got out it would absolutely ruin him I'm sure. I was talking to him the other day and he remarked that if YouTube had been around back then we'd never live it down.
