Problem description: On a fresh install of Windows 10 and my first search in Chrome pulled up this: Attempted fixes: Reinstalled Windows basically. There are no suspect programs under programs/features and I haven't seen it before with any of the Chrome extensions I use. Clicking the (x) closes it but I don't know the underlying cause Recent changes: OK, so I have my computer on a battery backup deal. Earlier today it randomly shut off even though my power didn't go out. My modem and router went off too. I powered everything back on and when I booted, there was a window that just said "Progress" where my taskbar button for Windows Explorer should have been. Trying to close it asked if I wanted to end the file transfer before it was complete. Then I opened Chrome and searched something and saw the same "enhanced results" nonsense. So whatever, I was going out so I stuck my USB drive in and reinstalled Windows 10 and left. Then I came back and the enhanced results thing was back even though I wiped the drive with Windows on it and did a fresh install. -- Operating system: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit System specs: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/epitasis/saved/DR7Pxr Location: U.S. I have Googled and read the FAQ: Ya Super No Vacancy fucked around with this message at 08:31 on May 29, 2016 |
