 If you shake the controller at the right time you can avoid being hurt by the pow block . i used to use that strategy every weekend to pwn my 11 year old sister relentlessly at mario kart. eat my dust sister. anyway my point is everyone at a marathon is running, so if they run wit ha wii controller theyll already be shaking it when the pow block goes off
