I haven't done a lot of hanging out downtown in a few years, other than in the sections where I work which is either in San Pedro Square or down South 1st St. in San Pedro, O'Flaherty's is a pretty chill pub, and Farmer's Union is a little more upscale. The Britannia Arms in Cupertino used to be good but the one downtown is just a big meat market. Down on 1st St if you're dragging the olds along, the bar inside the Sheraton is actually very chill and not too expensive, same with the il Fornaio in the Westin. Stay away from Tanq in the Marriott, though, it's way overpriced for suckers going to the convention center.
