It will probably be a jarring experience where awful app stops working and people decide to switch to reddit instead. At best it will have no effect on the userbase.

I unironically thought about working on a service-based forum as a side project but realized that even if I cared enough to keep doing it I would be tied to lowtax and well hmmmm. if the dude who own funny.computer wants to work on the offsite though txt me there will be a place for you all
