A Bad King

Suppose the oil man,
He comes to town.
And you don't lay money down.

Yet Mr. King,
He killed the thread
The other day.
Well I wonder.
Who's gonna go to Hell?
We're looking to make a full day trip to Colca Canyon, from Arequipa and back late in the evening. Does anyone have experiences with a tour company they're willing to share?

This might be way, way too late but in case it's not.

I'd really recommend doing a night or two at the canyon, hike down and out, spend a night in the oasis. It's a moderately hard hike but if you're used to hiking it's not too bad if you take it slow.

If you're familiar with the culture/speak a bit of Spanish it's not hard to get to Colca from Arequipa, go to the major bus station as early as you can, there was a few companies that were doing the trip.

If you're just blasting through and don't want to deal with language and usual hassles your hotel will almost definitely be able to book something for you or recommend a guide.

Also, post in the South America thread, there's probably a few that've done it.
