My birthday is coming up next month, and I'm going to try to finish a game from every year I've been alive in (by American release date). Picking classics and games I always wanted to play but never got around to it. Here's what I've got 1989 - Mega Man 2 1990 - Mario 3 1991 - Mario World 1992 - Sonic 2 1993 - Link's Awakening 1994 - Donkey Kong Country 1995 - Yoshi's Island 1996 - Mario RPG 1997 - Symphony of the Night 1998 - Ocarina of Time 1999 - Donkey Kong 64, never played it 2000 - Kirby 64 2001 - Wario land 4 2002 - Sunshine 2003 - Metroid Prime 2 2004 - either Pikmin 2 or Minish Cap 2005 - Dawn of Sorrow (what a terrible year for games) 2006 - Twilight Princess 2007 - Mario Galaxy 2008 - Wario Land Shake It 2009 - Borderlands I guess 2010 - Red Dead 2011 - Skyrim 2012 - Kid Icarus Uprising 2013 - MGR Revengeance 2014 - DK Tropical Freeze 2015 - Phantom Pain 2016 - Pokemon Sun or Moon, which I'll buy as a present for myself once I've finished everything else If I'm missing anything obvious I'd appreciate input. Also if your birthday is coming up, make your own list!

2005 has Devil May Cry 3 which would probably be a better option. Also DK64 is kind of a slog...maybe swap it out for something like UmJammer Lammy, Pokemon Snap or Tony Hawks Pro Skater? I like the concept though, enjoy the games.

Yeah the only particularly long game in that list is MGSV. Tropical freeze can take ages if you go for 100% because of how hard it gets

I've got almost two months, my birthday's the day after Christmas ( ) Finished Mega Man 2 and half of Mario 3 yesterday, finished up Mario 3 and Mario World today. I can beat Sonic 2 and DKC in a couple hours each so I'll try to knock those out tomorrow. I might swap out some games on the fly if I'm not feeling them. I didn't quite realize how big an undertaking Skyrim and Borderlands will be since I've never played either so I might try to find something else there
