it's so hard for me to tell because everything is so terrible or predictable or rehashed nowadays. I mean there's a lot that are fairly good but very few blew me away such that you *know* it's got legs. Like back in the day, walking out of Pulp Fiction, The Matrix, Trainspotting, Shawshank, T2, etc etc etc you knew you just saw something special. movies that last seem to be either really good, or unique, or evocative, or subtle in some way. but I'm not sure I've seen any of that in a long rear end time. Ex Machina? John Wick? Dredd? Nightcrawler? Guardians of the Galaxy? We need Netflix to get into the movie biz.

I think The Babadook seems like likely to go down as a really good horror movie.

Considering how the originals have stuck around after decades we can be confident that Fury Road is going to get replays for life.

District 9 is going to live forever. Also I think that people will keep coming back to Transformers 3 because it perfectly embodies the cultural insanity of the immediate post recession period.

I think/hope The Dark Knight will stick around. It's nonstop entertainment that can be replayed on network tv over and over again, plus it will help people not forget about Heath Ledger

Almost all of them OP because people who grew up watching them in the last decade will have the films live on in their memory, and it will continue to be easier than ever to immediately watch any title you want on a whim (legally and illegally)

pacific rim. maybe. i dont really know if that movie will really work on a tv, but in a theater with a big sound system that is hands down one of the funnest movies i've seen. three seconds of being on the edge of your seat as a giant rocket powered fist haymakers a god drat godzilla. now that is a loving movie. it is a mastercraft popcorn flick, what all dumb action movies should aspire to be

Definitely Fury Road. That film is phenomenal. Also probably Force Awakens because of how Star Wars lasts. Maybe Green Room too.

Casino Royale will probably go down in history as a top-tier Bond film. Maybe Skyfall too, if only because it's really, really pretty.

Outside of a few nerds who like looking up old poo poo because movies are their thing people aren't going to give a crap about any old movies that they didn't just have a fond childhood memory of and decide to watch again one day just because.
