Their lyrics are scathing and super-intellectual. Many times I'll have a De La lyric pop into my head 20 years after it was recorded, think about it, and go "ohhhhh, that's what that means!" i miss when the grammys were considered a joke award, instead of the very serious reflection about society that they are today. i blame them nominating eminem for multiple awards even after he trashed them in the very album he was given recognition for
